Composer AR Rahman’s debut challenge as movie producer, “99 Songs”, could have its digital premiere on Could 21. The Oscar-winning composer tweeted the information on Wednesday night. “Here’s the announcement that will lighten your mood. #99Songs will stream on Netflix,”introduced Rahman in a brief and candy message on his verified Twitter account, @arrahman.
The musical romantic drama “99 Songs”, which stars newcomers Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas, is directed by debutant Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, who can also be a musician with the Mumbai-based hardcore experimental band Scribe.
The movie had launched theatrically on April 16 however didn’t see a lot enterprise owing to the continued pandemic, which saved the viewers away from theatres through the unlock section.
Earlier, Rahman had talked concerning the movie and mentioned, “I think this film is coming at the right time.” He added, “With so many remixes being the norm these days, I’m looking forward to seeing audiences’ reception to the original compositions. ’99 Songs’ has 15 original tracks in the album; I am eager to see how well they receive it. Audience support and encouragement will motivate us to make even more beautiful music and movies.”
“99 Songs” will stream in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on Netflix.
